M.ILL.ION Announce New Guitarist
December 13, 2005Gothenburg, Sweden-based hard rockers M.ILL.ION have announced the addition of American guitarist Duane Cole to the group's ranks. "With a CV which includes major U.S. touring with top selling rockband LIFEHOUSE, and studio work with the likes of MADONNA and ROGER WATERS, Duane stood out from all the other fifty applying," the band write on their web site. "Duane's influences as a guitarist include everyone from Al Dimeola, Vinnie Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen to Vivaldi, GENESIS and KANSAS. He has now permanently moved to M.ILL.ION's hometown, Gothenburg in Sweden."
M.ILL.ION founding member B.J Laneby comments: "We warmly welcome Duane to the band. He's, of course, a shit-hot guitarist but also a really nice guy who will fit into our family very well. Looking forward to working with him on the new album and setting the stages on fire! Four vikings and one cowboy… how bad could it get? :-) Thanks and good luck to all who applied for the job."
Duane says: "I feel honored to be picked out of all the kickass guitar players that applied. I am thrilled to be a member of M.ILL.ION who are the coolest guys in the world. It is a magical mix. This next album should prove to be worthy of everyone's arsenal of music. I came here to experience the world... now, I feel we are ready to conquer it."
M.ILL.ION will continue writing for the new, as-yet-untitled, album due 2006. The band will also rehearse a live set together with their new guitarist, so live gigs are a possibility as well.
In other news, Majestic Rock Japan will release M.ILL.ION's entire catalog through the new distributor 3D, starting with their latest release, "Kingsize". The albums will be issued in Janaury.
